Breads from Rina's Kitchen


Dumplings 
Makes 6 dumplings

1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1/2 cup milk
                   
1. Stir together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in
   med size bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in milk
   to make a soft dough. 
2. Drop by spoonfuls into boiling stew. Cover and simmer
   15 mins without lifting lid. Serve. 
3. To make parsley dumplings, add 1 Tbl parsley flakes to
   the dry ingredients.
