Dinner Pies from Rina's Kitchen


Spinach Pie 

6 pieces of bacon
3 cups spinach, chopped
3 eggs
2 teaspoons white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup minced onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup shredded Jack Cheese
2 cups scalded milk
1 unbaked pie shell
                   
1. Place bacon in the bottom of the pie shell. Cover with
   spinach. 
2. In a medium bowl, beat together eggs, sugar, salt,
   onion powder, minced onion, garlic, and pepper. Slowly
   add scalded milk. Pour mixture over spinach in shell.
   Top with shredded Jack Cheese. 
3. Bake at 400 degree F for 20 to 30 minutes, or until
   knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
