Pies from Rina's Kitchen


Sawdust Pie 

7 egg whites
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 1/2 cups pecans
1 1/2 cups flaked coconut
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
                   
1. Mix together the egg whites (unbeaten) and sugar. Stir
   in the graham cracker crumbs, pecans and coconut. Stir
   together by hand until well blended. 
2. Pour into an unbaked pie shell. Bake in preheated 325
   degree F oven until glossy and set (about 25-30 mins). 
   DO NOT OVERBAKE! Center should be gooey. Serve with sliced
   bananas and whipped cream.
