Acorn Magic Delights 
Makes 3 dozen 

1 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped fine
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
                   
1. Melt the butter over low heat. In a large bowl, beat together
   butter, brown sugar, 3/4 cup chopped pecans, and vanilla
   until well blended. Add flour and baking powder and mix well. 
2. Shape dough into 1" balls. Slightly flatten by pressing
   balls onto ungreased cookie sheets; pinch tops to point to
   resemble acorns. 
3. Bake for 10-12 mins at 375 degrees F. Remove from oven and
   cool on wire racks. 
4. In top of a double boiler melt chocolate chips, stirring until
   smooth. Remove from heat; keep chocolate warm over water
   in the double boiler. 
5. Dip large ends of cooled cookies into melted chocolate, then
   roll in remaining 3/4 cup chopped pecans. Cool to set
   chocolate.
